This week is Red Ribbon Week across our campuses! And a Reminder: There is no school for students on Friday. Staff will report for Professional Development.

Each school day, millions of children ride school buses. Did you know that the school bus is one of the safest vehicles on the road? Less than 1% of all traffic fatalities involve children on school transportation vehicles. However, children are more at risk when approaching or leaving a school bus. It’s important for all drivers, as well as parents and students, to understand school bus safety. -- nhtsa.gov

The 2024 Flu Vaccine Clinic for students and staff will be provided 10-16-24 by the Carroll County Health Department. Flu Forms will go home this week and must be returned 10/11/24 for a count of vaccines needed. Middle School/High School Flu Clinic will begin at 8:30. K-5 will begin after lunch- approximately 12:30 in the Arena. Flu Vaccines will be available at the Carroll County Health Department 870-423-2923 if you are unable to make it to this clinic. Local Doctor Offices and Pharmacies including Walmart also provide Flu Vaccines.

The BHS Cross Country team competed in the Elkins Cross Country Invitational this weekend and came home with some big wins! The Girls and Boys teams both placed 2nd! Five girls medaled: Keilie Diaz Adrynne Pineda Maranatha Ross, 2nd place: Australia Amos 1st place: Kai Killingsworth 4 boys medaled: Noah Houghton Oliver Bemis 3rd place: Carson McMillan 2nd place: Malachi Houghton

The district Guiding Coalition met this week to review collaborative team expectations, discuss Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and plan for the next monthly meeting. We are working hard to "ensure high levels of learning for everyone, every day"! #bobcatnation
