Please help us welcome Rose Guhr to the Bobcat staff! Mrs. Guhr was born and raised in Berryville where she attended Kindergarten through twelfth grade. She begins her eighth year as a teacher, coming to us from Oklahoma, and will teach third grade. Mrs. Guhr has been married for 18 years and has three children who are already Bobcats! The Guhr family enjoys sports together and being outdoors. “I like to travel, watch my kids participate in sports, watch movies, and spend time with my dogs. My top three favorite movies are Overboard, Stardust and Princess Bride. One of my favorite places that I’ve traveled to is Germany,” Mrs. Guhr said when asked about fun facts and hobbies she wanted to share. She chose education because “I want to make a positive impact on our next generation.” Welcome back to Berryville, Mrs. Guhr! We are glad you are here!

Students competed at local, regional, and state level of History Day to earn the opportunity to travel to College Park, Maryland to present at National History Day June 11-14. Picture Captions in this order... “How Women Rode Bikes Over Fashion Frontiers in The Early 1900’s” the title to state winning performance by Keily Diaz at National History Day in the University of Maryland, College Park, MD Sophia Sharp entering the University of Maryland classroom for an interview about her state winning website titled, “ Frontiers in History: The Antibiotic Era” Keily Diaz outside Arkansas Senator John Boozman’s  office at the Derksen Building in Washington D.C. before touring our nations Capital Building.

From Coach Curtis: Just wanted to brag on these kids for the first part of summer! These guys (7-9th grade) have played a combined 40+ summer league games in just a few weeks against a variety of competition across the state! They have worked so hard and this week it paid off winning some hardware. Jr High went undefeated and won the Huntsville League as well as the Tournament Championship today! 7th and 8th grade also brought home some team hardware winning their Tournament Championship! I’m so extremely excited about these groups and have been a blast coaching them so far. The future is incredibly bright for Bobcat Basketball! On Friday, Mr. James Tabor's retirement was celebrated. After 17 years in the district as a Middle School Art Teacher and district bus driver, he has had an impact on MANY Bobcats! Mr. Tabor, you and your talents will be missed at #BobcatNation!

We have two of our Bobcat Family Members retiring at the end of the school year. Beverly has served and loved our children and staff in the cafeteria for 11 years. She brings service with a smile to the highest level! Kim has served in the classroom at several grade levels and is most recently serving as the Dyslexia Coordinator. She has 28 years in the district as a staff member and is a lifetime Bobcat. These ladies will be missed by #BobcatNation. We wish them all of the best that retirement has to offer!
