Last Friday the ♟BMS Chess Club♟ went to a junior high chess tournament! While they didn't bring home any awards, our students did very well. There were 5 games played. A win is 1 point, a stalemate/tie is 0.5 points. Our top player was Rowan Fausett who scored 3.5/5. Other results: Mason Lehr 2.5/5 (this was Mason’s first tournament) Elijah Changus, Zayne Guhr, Chayce Ricci all scored 2/5 The team score was 10/20. These results are an improvement over last year and we can't wait to see what the future holds for our ♟BMS Chess Club♟!

🕶Spring break☀ is right around the corner! Here is a great opportunity from the Berryville Public Library. This is not affiliated with the school, so please refer questions to the library. #BobcatNation Berryville Library to offer Spring Break Camp March 24-28 March 7, 2025—During this year's spring break, children ages 8 and up have the unique opportunity to embark on a virtual journey around the world at no cost. The Berryville Library will host "Around the World in 5 Days" from March 24 through March 28, 1 pm to 5 pm daily, as part of its Spring Break series. Library director Julie Hall stated, “This year’s Spring Break Camp might be one of our best-themed weeks yet, offering children the chance to learn about places far, far away from their hometown.” The theme, "Around the World in 5 Days" includes plans to virtually visit different countries in North America on Monday, South America on Tuesday, Africa on Wednesday, Europe on Thursday, and Asia on Friday. Each day will provide opportunities to learn fun facts about the way people live in the countries visited, along with an introduction to the languages they speak, the foods they eat, the games they play, and more. There will be snacks and prizes, too. Attendance is free. Participants are not required to attend every day and can come and go as their schedule allows. Don’t let your children or grandchildren miss out on this exciting week of free Spring Break activities at the Berryville Public Library. For further information, please contact the Berryville Library at (870) 423-2323 or visit us at 104 Spring St. #BobcatNation
