Providing Safe and Dependable Transportation for Bobcat Families

🚌 Guidelines and Tips 🚌
🚌At the Bus Stop
Arrive at the bus stop on time.
Stand at least 6 feet (3 big steps) back from the curb.
Wait in a single-file line — no pushing or playing.
Keep all items in backpacks..
Never approach the bus until it comes to a complete stop and the driver signals.
🚌 Getting On & Off the Bus
If you must cross the road to enter the bus wait until the driver signals before crossing the road and then look both ways before crossing.
Use the handrail when boarding.
Go directly to a seat — don’t block the aisle.
Always cross in front of the bus, never behind.
Make eye contact with the driver before crossing.
If you drop something tell the driver and follow the instructions of the driver to retrieve.
Make sure your child has their transportation card (if lost you are able to purchase a new card)
🚌 While Riding the Bus
Sit facing forward with your back against the seat.
Keep seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
Keep hands, feet, and objects inside the bus.
Keep the aisle clear.
No eating on the bus.
Use quiet voices so the driver can focus.
Follow the driver’s instructions at all times.
🚨 Extra Tips for Parents
Teach your child their home address and phone number.
Review the “danger zone” around buses (10 feet all around).
If your child misses the bus, don’t chase it — contact the school.
For sleepovers or alternate drop-offs, consider alternative transportation to prevent overcrowding.
